Pray for my hearing...

Lester goes to the revival and listens to the preacher.

After awhile the preacher asks anyone with needs to be prayed over to come forward to the front at the altar.

Lester gets in line, and when it's his turn, the preacher asks: "Lester, what do you want me to pray about for you?"

Lester replies: "Preacher, I need you to pray for my hearing."

The preacher puts one finger in Lester's ear, and he places the other hand on top of Lester's head and prays and prays and prays.

After a few minutes, the preacher removes his hands, stands back and asks Lester: "Lester, how is your hearing now?"

Lester says, "I don't know, Reverend, it's not until next Wednesday."    author unknown

A very gentle Southern lady was driving across the Savannah River Bridge in Georgia one day. As she neared the top of the bridge, she noticed a young man a-fixin' to jump.

She stopped her car, rolled down the window and said, "Please don't jump, think of your dear mother and father."

He replied, "Mom and Dad are both dead; I'm going to jump."

"Well, think of your wife and children," she yelled.

He replied, "I'm not married and I don't have any kids."

Exasperated she hollered, "Well, think of Robert E. Lee."

He replied, "Who's Robert E. Lee?"

To which she replied, "Well bless your heart, just go ahead and jump, you dumb Yankee."

A WOMAN'S PERFECT BREAKFAST

She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee.

Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box.

Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week.

Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl.

And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

I'm trying to make ammends for the other "man" jokes that some women did not laugh, or make them at all happy....so ladies that one is for you.
