enjoy the live beach music starting at 6:30pm each Thursday at the Boardwalk Gazebo. The fireworks start at 9pm. Check out the web site for the schedule or other special programs, especially in July. These events are sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. And, best of all they are FREE!!

see how they lived in yesteryear....and don't miss the special event on June 16 - Family Day. Poplar Grove will be receiving a Grant Award. The festivities run in conjunction with the farmer's market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. From 10 to 1pm it is all about kids. There are free activities - art, gardening and music. For $5 your child can have a pony ride or hayride for $3. A real fire engine, ambulance and giant grocery cart will be on site. There will be food and beverages also. There will be free samples from Grillin' in the Grove, a free plant clinic by Pender County Master Gardners and a cooking demo by Chef Skip from Harris Teeter (fee and advance registration for Skip's event).
